Pastor's Bio

Gerald Wyatt accepted Christ at the age of eight.  Being a “church baby”, he recognized God’s call on his life.  After resisting the voice of God for several years, he formally accepted the call to the ministry and was ordained in 1995.

During his church ministry, Elder Wyatt served in various roles to include: youth leader, Young Adult and Adult Sunday school teacher, usher, choir director, praise team member, church administrator and associate pastor.  It was during his early adult years when God began showing him dreams and visions which ultimately moved him into the prophetic.

In the Fall of 2004, the Lord began to deal heavily with Elder Wyatt regarding the Pastorate.  Although it was not his personal ambition, the pressing of the Holy Spirit brought him to a please of complete surrender.  It was during this time that God had an exchange with him that went as follows:

 God:    “Have I ever failed?”

Elder Wyatt:   “No.”

God:    “Am I in you?”

Elder Wyatt:   “Yes.”

God:    “Then if I am in you and I’ve never failed then you can’t fail because I won’t fail.  This is all about Me and there’s no pressure on you.”

Elder Wyatt officially received the call in November of 2004 and announced his yielding to the believers that had been gathering at his home for weekly Bible study.  Pastor Wyatt serves faithfully as a teacher of the Word and prophet to the nations.  It is his desire to see the Body of Christ (locally and at large) functioning to its fullest potential and call.  He lives to build the Kingdom of God through practical teaching and application principles.  His heart is for God’s people and providing them spiritual tools to have a successful walk with God.

Pastor Gerald serves along with his wife, partner and co-pastor Wendi at the Body of Christ Worship Center in Columbus, GA.  They are excited to be a part of the Christian Covenant Fellowship of Ministry under the leadership of Bishop Michael A. Blue.  They have been married for nearly 22 years (December 8, 1990) and have two beautiful and beautifully anointed children (Racquel and Christopher).  The Wyatts have served as pastors for seven years and are tremendously amazed at God’s hand in their lives.  When all is said and done, Pastor Wyatt lives to hear the words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord”.
